Seattle Marathon 10K Race (Guest blog)

August 24, 2013 marks the 3rd annual Seattle Marathon 10k Run+Walk at Gas Works Park.
Can you believe that I am born and raised in Seattle and I have never ran a race associated with the Seattle Marathon? Shocking, I know! I am very excited to be able to run my first Seattle Marathon 10k Run this year.
I have only heard positive feedback from past participants who ran the 10k in previous years!
This year’s race has a brand new course that starts and finishes at Gas Works Park. Runners will be able to enjoy the beautiful scenic views of Lake Union while running on the Burke-Gilman Trail.

About Tara: My name is Tara and I am a twenty-four years old daughter, runner, friend, and fitness lover.
I decided to create PNW Runner in April 2013 as a way for me to share my passion for fitness, running and journey through recovery. After spending many years reading fitness blogs and reading about others with similar interests, I decided it was about time for me to create my own to share with others. Many of these blogs have helped me realize that I was not alone in struggling with an eating disorder.
