Meet Wes: Official Amica Insurance Seattle Marathon Ambassador!

Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of bringing on Wes Lashley as our first Amica Insurance Seattle Marathon ambassador. Wes has a passion for running and the Seattle community.

We invite you to get to know Wes and follow him on his journey:

"Roughly a month ago I did not finish (DNF) the LA Marathon. Since then I have taken some time off from running to reflect and heal.

I have decided not to run Rock N Roll Portland Half Marathon in May to focus on rehabbing and strengthening my legs. Every race after that is also up in the air. I don’t want to jump back in too quickly...

Sharing is Caring: Training for the Amica Insurance Seattle Marathon




Spring is approaching and many runners will begin thinking about their training plans for the Amica Insurance Seattle Marathon on December 1st. We want to know your plans. What will your schedule be? How far and how often? Share with us your tips, tricks and success secrets that will get you to the finish line and you could be featured on our blog.

The rules are simple:

  • Submissions should be received by 11:59pm on Thursday, February 28, 2013 via email to info@seattlemarathon.org.
  • Be sure to include: First Name, Twitter and/or Facebook handle, whether you’re training for the full or half marathon, and the number of Seattle Marathons you’ve completed

That’s it. The selected work will be published on the Official Blog of the Seattle Marathon in the first week of March. Submissions may be subject to editing as needed.

So get to writing and show us what you’ve got!
